Head Boys Varsity Coach: Dave Costa

Coach Costa just completed his tenth year as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Plymouth South High School. He is a graduate of Norwich University with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Coaching.

Coach Costa has 20 years of experience coaching basketball at the high school level. Previously he coached at Cohasset High School and Plymouth South High School as an assistant. Coach Costa is also the Head Girls Soccer Coach at Plymouth South.

I addition to his coaching duties, Coach Costa teaches Physical Education. He has taught at the middle school level and is currently in his 11th year teaching at the high school level at Plymouth South. He is very excited to play a vital role in the development of young men and women in athletics. Coach Costa believes that an important part of coaching is teaching life skills. The same lessons that apply to basketball apply in life; never quitting and working hard creates a winning attitude for the game of life.

Coach Costa grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth North High School. He now resides in Boston with his wife Kristin.

JV Boys Coach: Matt Giglio

Coach Giglio joined the Plymouth South High School Basketball Staff this past year. He served as head coach of the junior varsity and also was an assistant with the varsity program. Coach Giglio played locally at Sacred Heart High School and also played collegiately at Bridgewater State before completing his B.S. at U Mass Dartmouth.Coach Giglio is currently teaching in the Special Education department at PSHS and is working to obtain his licensure.

Freshman Boys Coach: Jon Jardin

Coach Jardin joined Plymouth South High School in the fall of 2014 as a math teacher. He served as an assistant with the boys basketball program during the 2014-2015 season. Coach Jardin is currently the Boys Freshman and junior varsity coach for the Plymouth South boys lacrosse team. Prior to joining Plymouth South, Coach Jardin coached youth lacrosse in the Bridgewater, Ma. Coach Jardin grew up in East Bridgewater and is a graduate of Syracuse University with degrees in Mathematics and Secondary Math Education, and a Masters in Inclusive Special Education.
